Re: Jacob-Hunting Posse

Fantastic Question. Dono. All i Know is John Locke = G-d . so i guess wat he does is right. lmao.
But seriously. i think maybe. he wants to show the others how there is no Jacob. but once hes their jacob will come out and be like I AM JACOB. OR i just thought about it RIGHT NOW. u remember How he says HELP ME to john. Maybe He needs to kill him to save him. Its an idea. To be honest i read teh killin him to free him on another post. but the "help me" part kinda helped me understand why he would want to "kill" jacob.

Re: Jacob-Hunting Posse

Yes, I agree that there are numerous possibly good reasons to kill Jacob (to save him, to save everyone else, etc.), but why bring a circus to town to do it? What is Locke planning to show/tell these people once he's done the deed. What the heck is he going to tell Sun who thinks they're going to Jacob for help to find the rest of the 815ers? Alls I know is that Locke had better sleep with one eye open after misleading Sun like that!!!

It reminds me to when Ben reunited all the others to witness Locke killing his own father.....

P.S. Why are there some Others at the beach and other Others at the Temple? Lots of questions, very few answers! I'd love to hear anyone's ideas!

Re: Jacob-Hunting Posse

I think Locke intends to show all of the Others that Jacob is someone that that shouldn't fear. He is going to try and reveal him to all of them for what he is -- at least what Locke thinks he is.

Or it could be that Locke is mad at Christian for making him leave the island.

That's what I was thinking too, maybe John wanting to kill Jacob is so he can free Jacob. Maybe the Island told Locke this was the only way to free him.

The issue I have is, what we know of Jacob labels him incorporeal. What "weapon" does Locke have against that?

I don't know, but we already have a frozen donkey wheel that teleports an Island around in time and transports the wheel turner to the Tunesian desert into the future. Not too mention a smoke monster that acts as a judge and jury. I think they could come up with something.
