So I thought I'd create a thread to catalogue all of the tinier unanswered mysteries that I have going into season 6.
1) the Outrigger chase/missing Zodiac. this is one that I was SURE was going to be answered, but obviously not. This kinda changes my theory on it, since it has to take place after the confrontation at the statue foot.
2) The temple. Early spoiler (foiler) reports indicated that we'd be seeing the inside of the temple by the end of the season. We almost did in DiD, but not the actual inside itself. This area must be even more important than previously thought, since they mentioned it in S3, and won't reveal it until S6.
3) Not-Jacob. If Jacob lives in the statue, then who was in the cabin? My guess is "the other guy" from the opening scene. Actually, this one may be kinda obvious.
4) Radzinsky. Why is he stationed in the Swan? and why does he (if the blast door map is any indication) have little recollection of his time in the DI? Was it due to his injury during the incident? (I was pretty sure he got hit, could be wrong though)
5) Daniel's knowledge. How did he know everything about the incident (specific things like time, location, even knowing when Chang's van would pull up at the Orchid)?
6) How on earth did Juliet (and the bomb) survive that huge fall?
most of my questions are on the "large" end of things, but here's one:
after this episode Jacob doesn't appear to be as much of a supernatural time-stasis ghost as we thought him to be (although he does appear to be ageless and omniscient).
So how does he travel to and from the island all the time?
without anyone noticing either
7) Who even built the Swan? It didn't seem to me like there were too many Dharma people left, and it just seems hard to believe that they'd be able to get all that concrete there and everything when a bomb had just gone off.
Why did Richard look the way he did when Ben met him in the jungle as a child, but does not look that way at any other point in time (even times very close to that one)?
At this point it would appear to be a continuity goof that they decided to just toss out.
My biggest lingering question(s) revolve around Ben and the Temple....
- What did they do to him?
- How did it change him/rob his innocence?
- What did Richard mean when he said what happened in the temple would mean he'd always be "one of us"?
And now
- Is there any relation between what happened to Ben in the temple and how Jacob has treated him down through the years?
Why did Richard look the way he did when Ben met him in the jungle as a child, but does not look that way at any other point in time (even times very close to that one)?

Or a disguse or richard had long hair for a short period of time. if richard has been alive hundreads of years its not crazy to think he has had more than one hair style.
The answer to who or what the whispers are comes only second after this:
WHAT IS SMOKEY????
And I don't want some psuedo answer to that question either. Smokey has been around since the pilot episode and basically framed the whole foundation for LOST. It was the thing that made them all wonder,"Where are we?"
But as to smaller mysteries that I would like to see answered:
1. Kate's true motives for What Kate Did if there is anything other than what we were shown.
2. Where the rest of the Others were when Richard leads the group to the statue since NotLocke said that he wanted to pick up the rest of the Others from the Temple before heading to see Jacob, and Cindy and the kids weren't among the trekkers (unless I just didn't spot them in the walk-along-the-beach scene).
3. Annie--any significance or was that just a throw-away rabbit hole for the viewers.
4. Aaron and Sun's daughter (name escapes me at the moment)--are their stories over and done with?
5. Christian Shepherd's body
I'm assuming that either we've been given the answer to who Adam and Eve are (based on the finale) or that this, too, will be answered.
