Good Luck from A2 (sort of)!

From one Ann Arborite to another, best of luck with the show! I'm really looking forward to it on many levels. The premise is intriguing enough, but the on and off camera talent involved seems to be this gigantic mashup of people that have brought to life so many things that I've enjoyed over the years.

So, two quick "interview" type questions:
1. How do you think your experience to date has prepared you to run this show and bring it to life?

2. In a show with a serialized premise, the biggest obstacle seems to be how long can you keep the balance between advancing the "mythology" and stalling to keep the show running. Do you have an "ideal length of time" that you feel the show should run?

Thanks for everything you've brought to us in the past and for everything that's coming!

Re: Good Luck from A2 (sort of)!

Two quick answers...

1) My experience so far has been helpful in terms of running a show... but this one is definitely a complicated beast and involves MANY other talented people having to pitch in. I've directed a pilot before and written some episodic TV, but I've never been this heavily involved in the day-to-day on a network show. Movies, yes, but this is entirely different. It's been challenging, so far, but very rewarding as well. Having the time of my life.

2) You've hit the nail on the head in terms of the most challenging aspect. We're finding our way. I hope we've struck the right balance. It's certainly very much on our minds as we break our stories. As for how long the show could last... hard to say. The stories seem limitless and we certainly have no lack of ideas. Plus, we've having a wonderful experience watching our characters continue to grow and come to life... at a certain point, the STORY and the CHARACTERS tell you where they need to go.
