What is a Consulting Producer?

Starting things off in this thread. I may go ask this of some of the others as well.

I know that producers have many jobs in TV, and some specialize in areas and the work is spread around a bit. So, what part of this big TV puzzle belongs to you? Do you help more with Casting, the writing process, will you be in the editing room for the next year, or is location scouting or music your thing?
