One thing you can say about this show it sure can rock the cliffhanger. Are we meant to believe that was his dead daughter in the kitchen? How will they possibly explain that one?
ETA: Oh wait, I just thought of something. So the fact that Al killed himself and then in the next scene Tracey appeared alive, are they connected? Did Al make that happen by changing the future?

If someone who is suppose to be alive in their FF dies and that brings back someone who is suppose to be dead, THAT WOULD BE INSANE!!!
Wouldn't that though? Any change could have massive consequences that are unpredictable, a huge reshuffling of the cosmic deck every time. That's why Demetri and the other ghosts may live. Every time someone does something to change their future all bets are off for everyone else's. Very very cool.

If this is what happens, the blue hands should just go out and live their lives. Anything could be possible.
LOST: The End. What a great ride it was.
"Do you know how badly I want to counsel you right now?" Titus Welliver to Mark Pelligrino
"Nothing's irreversible." Jack "It only ends once." Man In Black Mesa
The show would get so weird if everytime someone did something to change their future something crazy would happen. I would actually enjoy the show more. I like weird.

Right, I think in that case Al definitely gave Demetri something to hope for. The only problem is, he doesn't know that. Only we the viewers see the connection. They wouldn't realise anything was changed as a direct result of one person's actions. They wouldn't know there was reason to hope.

But it would have had to have been pre-determined that Al would have killed himself as Tracy would have already been en route for a significant amount of time before getting to LA and Al killing himself.
Plus, Tracy wasn't dead in Aaron's FF...the easiest explanation is usually the correct one and the easiest one is that she wasn't dead at all...all Mike saw was a body lying there that was fully intact. Had she been decapitated or something it would be inexplicable but he didn't exactly check her vitals, he just looked at her and figured she was dead. Obviously he was wrong.
The only "proof" that Tracy was dead was the dna testing done through the military and if they had sufficient reason to fake that they easily could. Considering whoever Tracy and Mike were attacked by it doesn't seem entirely impossible that they would want it covered up. Remember: We never actually saw Aaron exhume the "body" of Tracy to have it re-tested.
