A very dark room. A few sun rays enter from the sharp openings in the blinds. Constant creakings from the outside are the only sounds.
A man (whose figure is barely seen) is reading documents on a desk, where an oil-lamp lights big maps, above which lay protractors and set squares. The man slowly moves his hand on the map, above the ocean: then he stops his forefinger on a precise spot on the map, as to indicate it: yet it seems to be just somewhere in the ocean.
As he does so, a distant voice is hardly heard, yelling something as '..aaaand.'.
Immediately, the objects on the table start to slide all together, slowly. The hand seems to react to the voice, but all of a sudden the desk turns almost vertical and everything in the room comes crashing down following the gravity, and then the whole room turns violently the opposite way.
The man falls down and tries to make his way to the door as the objects fall around and on him. He opens the door and a violent sun blinds him and a great noise is suddenly heard, of men shouting, yelling. We see a great turmoil: people on the deck a 19th century vessel running around trying to fight tremendous waves. The man has to put his hand over his eyes to protect from the sun, that's why we can't see his face at first. He stops a man and asks him:
- What the hell happened? We've been all day long over the stillest of seas, up until 2 minutes ago...
- Never seen such thing before, sir! The moment we spotted the land, the sea just.. woke up and attacked us in a second.. do y'remember how crocodiles do back in africa?
- Land? You said land? I don't see any...
- Turn the other side, sir.
The man turns and he finally drops his hand from the face, so that we can see his identity.
And we are shown Richard Alpert looking frightened right into the eyes of a giant horrific crocodile-faced statue, among the black waves, and the surrounding land of a violent and electric green.

I'm pretty sure we'll start s6 on board of the black rock. Remember in the penultimate episode of s5 we saw alpert playing with a scale model of the vessel, then in the last episode we saw the vessel itself, from a distance. Starting s6 on board of the br I think would just be the completing of an evident climax.
Thats pretty cool. I just don't see them not addressing what's happened with the bomb straight away. They can do a black rock/Richard episode further down the line.

I agree with Pauly...that would be a cool scene but I doubt they are going to open Season 6 without addressing whether the bomb had an affect on the time stream of Flight 815.
We're born, we die, and we make a lot of mistakes in between.

Hi Paul, Secoura. I'm interested in the opening scene only. If you want my thought, I'm pretty sure the premiere episode will be about the Losties and the effects of the bomb, we can tell it also from the title of the episode:
Spoiler:
LA X, maybe flight 815 will land safely in LA
Yet, because of the typical jigsaw-like storytelling in Lost, we might just experience a strong, epic beginning without any direct plot connection with the episode itself.
s5 started this way: we saw Chang and Faraday in the orchid, a scene that was resumed 13 episodes later, in 'the variable'. So I think this is what may happen in s6.
As far as i remember, s3 opening scene was equally 'disconnected' from the plot core of the episode.
Good scene and the way they open seasons is pretty odd somerimes. I thought they were going to be in Sydney boarding the plane, but who knows. I can't wait.
I like the picture you painted for the opener, Jangras. This is the last season opener for our writers. Season one had a very epic ending scene that we all would have thought could have been picked up at the other end of panning down the hatch shaft. Instead they showed us Desmond in the hatch as we did not know what we were yet watching. The season may begin with a white flash and the other side of it, but I suspect them to pull something way more clever than that. Your scene could just be the very thing they have in mind. They like delayed satisfaction. Making us wait a bit for the other side of that flash would be true to form.
I have always thought the black rock ended up in the middle of the island because the island flashed to the location the black rock was sailing at, basically just appearing underneath it. The season 5 finale made me question it though because it appeared to show the black rock sailing to the island. Of course we dont know for sure that its the black rock but its probable. I like your scene though and think it would be good. Unfortunately the title of the opener makes me picture something different.
You better listen my my sister's and brothers,
'cause if you do you can hear, There are voices still callin' from across the years. And they're cryin' across the ocean, And they're cryin' across the land, And they will until we all come to understand
That none of us are free, None of us are free
None of us are free, if one of us is chained, None of us are free

Well done.
Thanks, Frank, that's the point. Thing is: s6 opener MUST be something EPIC! And I think us fans consider the black rock's wreck and adam & eve to be the most thrilling mysteries yet to be shown.
Well, actually this thread was meant to be for everyone to come up with his own idea of s6 opening scene, i might have made it clearer in the 1st post. It would be nice to see who will get closer to the truth.

Well as far as we've been shown, the BR, as we've seen it in s5 finale, might still be 'pushed' to the middle of the island, in many ways.
If the ship contained minerals, then it's pretty possible for the magnetic force to 'attract' the ship, but then the BR would be resting near the Swan, not in the Dark Territories.
Of course in my scene I just pictured the beginning of the wreck, then it's up to Darlton. He/they get payed for this..

I agree with that!
I don't have a better idea than yours for the opening scene but i'm sure they'll try to surprise us like always. The black rock is a great idea. Another one would be to see Annie. I'm dying to know who is Annie!!! lol

I doubt this will happen, but I've been wrestling with the idea that there's a big connection between Oceanic 815 and the Black Rock. So how about:
Open on eye. Jack's face. Gasps, gets up in middle of jungle. Looks around. Runs through jungle - to find an almost picture perfect repeat of the first sequence in the pilot episode - only it's the Black Rock somehow crashed on the Island, not Oceanic 815. And all our Losties are there.
