When carrying Lockes body, Illana and Ben have this conversation
Ben: Why did you have to bring him to the statue in the first place?

If Illana and crew knew this when they packed up Lockes body back in S5 then what or who is Christian Shepard and Alex meant to be or where are they coming from? I cant believe the above gets said with any exception like...oh she meant living form and those were apparitions.
Smocke was genuinely surprised by Bens admission that he was told to follow Lockes every command. Although he still seems to command the smoke or actually be it, Im wondering if their is more here than meets the eye when it comes to smokey. Christian and temple smokey aka Alex cant be the same person as MIB or Illanas comment makes no sense or little difference if any.
