Where is David's Mother? He's living w/ Grandma

Jack went to visit David's bedroom.....later David says " You were at Grandma's"

David lives with his Grandma (apparantly Jacks Mom)

so where is Davids Mother? Since David is not living with Jack , you would think he would be living with his mother. Why is David not living with her?

is she in the hospital? is she in prison?

Is she Dead?

Sarah?
Juliet?
Penny?
Libby?

I'm not positive but I think when Jack called David's phone he said something like if you are at your mother's house and something about her being out of town.

Re: Where is David's Mother? He's living w/ Grandma

Jack left David at his appartment and when to his mother's house to look for his father's will. When he returned he found David missing and then went to look for him at David's mother's house (ie David's main residence). Later when Jack found David, David stated that he was basically able to sneak off becasue Jack "had gone to grandma's" ie Jack had went to Jack's mother's house not the house that David lives in with HIS mother.
