Suggestion for Lost Finale spoilers

Now that spoilers from the LOST finale are emerging, and will be highly sensitive and revealing, is there any chance we could have a warning on the site reiterating the importance of spoiler tags and what constitutes a spoiler? Maybe a site announcement or sticky that shows up in every subforum, with a title that gives the point without the need to click the actual announcement? Something like 'Do not post titles, casting calls, etc. Anything is a spoiler.'

Re: Suggestion for Lost Finale spoilers

I wonder if we could have a header like we had for when the site was going to have maintenance? That and everyone's help reporting spoilers when someone posts them.

I'm not eve sure spoiler fonting is good enough for the finale. I think all spoilers should be in the spoiler section. It's a Spoiler or Spoiler Theory. Nothing outside those 2 sections.

Re: Suggestion for Lost Finale spoilers

We want to be spoiled.
So any warning signs would help us to find out what's gonna happen would be welcome.

Oh, you mean for those who don't want to be spoiled? Yeah, a banner would be nice. Also, any extra warnings would be good, too. You know, to help those who don't want to be spoiled. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Re: Suggestion for Lost Finale spoilers

Ban all spoiler-fonting in the non-spoiler section of the Lage for the three weeks prior to the finale - a zero tolerance approach to spoilers. It would hopefully stop the answering of non-spoiler threads with this approach (which happens a lot):

'Yes, but

Spoiler:
I know X is happening in episode Y so this answers this thread.
'

Always annoying.

Re: Suggestion for Lost Finale spoilers

I'm thinking that the series finale will be exposed long before it is shown on TV. At that point, when it happens, I am hoping that the 'lage will take measures to protect those who do not want to be spoiled.

Still, it think it will leak out in other posts and in other threads. It does happen sometimes and I think the mods are going to be very busy making sure the spoilers are corralled into the right places.

On another note...

"I'm a big fan
of the CGI submarine." Mesa

We like it, too. And that 1950's fish-eye periscope point of view was really cool.
It's something you would see in a techno-punk comic book and was a nice call-out to the kind of technology a super-villain like Widmore would use.

P. S. This show needs more super-villain techno-punk gizmos.

Re: Suggestion for Lost Finale spoilers

Could you also post something about giving out ANY spoilers in thread titles? Sometimes you catch a spoiler in the title without reading the actual post!

Thank you so much, mods!

Re: Suggestion for Lost Finale spoilers

How bout spoiler-people get perma-banned? That'll do the trick. And what about those sneaky references someone up above me mentioned...you know the ones I mean...the ones where you just know they know they're talking spoilers trying to sound like they thought it up themselves so they can say "hey look, i said that before the finale even aired! I called it!!"
