This really helped the pill go down. It's still stuck...but this 5 minute read, helped.
Unfortunately, it's not enough to make me swallow the series as a whole. I thought getting more information would help me (and perhaps others) but in the end...it didn't.

Thats a heck of a read. I really hope thats true. THe finale and the purgatory element of the sideways world works for me completely. Im just still sad my friends are gone. I will miss this show like none other thru the good and bad. Hopefully this site stays up but Im unsure how long this will be here. Does anyone know?
Great read, it really helps it make a lot more sense, and it confirmed a couple of nagging unanswered questions. Thanx for posting, I think it will make it go down a little easier for a lot of folks!
Thanks for posting this Eric.. I initially had a hard time with the finale, at least the final moments. But I re-watched it tonight and kind of "let go" as our dear Jack did... and it was a much better journey.
Reading this was most helpful..
thanks,
ame xo
And now here is my secret, a very simple secret.
It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.
Thanks for posting that Eric, it's nice to get the insight that was in that 'blog' if in fact it is from someone at "Bad Robot".

But, from a more "behind the scenes" note: the reason Ben's not in the church, and the reason no one is in the church but for Season 1 people is because they wrote the ending to the show after writing the pilot. And never changed it.
This line is what bothers me. They make a point to say that Ana Lucia, Rousseau, Alex, Miles, Lapidus, etc weren't included in the church because essentially they weren't in Season 1 (was said twice actually). Well, neither was Ben (and they touch on that), but neither was Juliet, Libby, Bernard, Desmond and Penny. Boone also is a problem for me. Sawyer spent way more time with Miles (and was even linked to him in the FS) then he ever spent with Boone, so why include Boone over Miles? And what exactly was Boone's "trigger" or "soulmate" as the blogger likes mention?
I don't know, it still doesn't sit well with me. It doesn't seem like they had "wrote the ending to the show after writing the pilot. And never changed it." when 6 people from outside of S1 were included in the church. Just seems that if his person did work for "Bad Robot" he wasn't too close to the main writers.
Really interesting read and seems genuine, thanks!

Todd, all of the people you mention, their 'soulmate' is one of the main characters from season 1
Juliet / Sawyer , libby/Hurley, Bernard/Rose,
Desmond is the exception, but he was obv in mind when the Hatch was introduced to the plot, and he was the 'enlightened' one who brought them altogether, so that's fair enough?
