Happy 6th Birthday to Lost!

Six years ago today a television phenomenon was born. It started with a plane crash and ended...well if you saw season 6 you know how it ended.

The question remains...will there ever be another Lost? A show that captures the imagination of millions around the globe? Can it happen again? I'd like to think so. It won't be Lost. Maybe it won't be as good but it will happen some day I'm sure.

How soon into the show were you hooked? The opening sequence with Jack running on the beach through the wreckage was the first hook for me. Then the show really sunk it's teeth into me when it revealed that Locke was paralyzed before the crash and now he could walk. From that moment on I knew the show was for me. That plus all the awesome music by Michael Giacchino. It would not have been Lost without his contributions.

Anyways...all praise and thanks to the cast and the writers/producers and other crew members. Thanks for a hell of a ride. Hard to believe it's been 6 years.

Re: Happy 6th Birthday to Lost!

Wow... six years.

Will there ever be another Lost? For me, no. Lost was "my first" on so many levels that it would be impossible to duplicate or replicate.. It was the first series that drew me in so quickly and so deeply. It was the first to challenge me to research and study and take notes; like trying to solve a huge, interactive, multi-dimensional puzzle. And it was the first to draw me to join an online forum to discuss those puzzles. But then the most surprising thing happened.... In this cold, sterile world of the internet some beautiful souls shined through, and friendships formed. I have met some truly lovely people here.

So no, there will not be another for me.. Lost was my first. And just as a first kiss forever holds a place in your memory, Lost will always hold a special place with me, never to me matched or equaled in that moment. Retire the number - Number 815. Hang it from the rafters as a reminder and a challenge to other shows of what is possible when the right minds and talents come together.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret.
It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Amen! It was the first time I ventured onto the internet to find out more about the show and cast. I have found life-long friends - real friends who have been there for me when things were great and when they were horrible and I've been able to do the same for them.
Happy Lostiversary!!!

Time to go find the cockpit.

Everyone is quit right, there will never be another LOST. There were more powers at work here than a TV show.

Much like Season 3 finale Jack was desperate to get back to the island, I'll channel surf for years trying to find another Lost... only Jack made it back to the island... and I'll never find another television show that comes close.

This started out as a joke... but now I'm depressed.

Guess that's why the show was so awesome.
