The Secret Past of Arzt
Ok....for three weeks, I've been wracking what little is left of my brain about our dearly departed Leslie.* I knew he looked familiar, but I just couldn't place it and then it hit me....the first time I ever saw this guy was in a 1987 Penelope Spheeris film called (of all things!) "Dudes".* Bizarre little cult film in which he is a punker from New York, along with Jon Cryer and Flea and he has a huge mohawk in it too!* Lee Ving from Fear is also in it as a redneck deluxe.* Its out of print, but I do have a copy and it has its moments for anyone that has seen it.* He was also the high school girlfriend killer in "The River's Edge", which is a great piece of indie work and based on a true story.* Interestingly enough, he is stressed,*compulsive and seeking to fit in in both those roles.* Just thought you all might get a kick out of what he was doing way, way before he became a blown up science teacher* ;D
