How can i show get my avatar?

Hello.

I just signed in, and I was wondering how i could get an avatar?
When I go in to "edit avatar", i see a dot on "do not use anavatar" and I can't remove it.

What am I doing wrong?

I think you need 30 posts to view and have an avatar.

Hi árásarma›ur & Welcome to the 'Lage!

Now, on to your avatar problem ... When you go to edit your avatar, below the "Do not use an avatar" setting, do you see a box that says "Custom Avatar"? In that section you click on the radio button (the circle with the black dot in it ... that's a radio button) next to "Use Custom Avatar." Then select the way you want to get your avatar. If you cannot click on that radio button, just try using one of the two options to get an avatar (in that same section of "Custom Avatar" and that should make the button switch from NO avatar to CUSTOM avatar.

Try this and if it doesn't work, either post back here or send me a PM (private message).

Hey jbdean and thanks for the welcoming.

The only message i find is the following:

Your Current Avatar
No Avatar Specified
Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.

Nothing more.

Maybe Phillygirl is right about the minimum limit post to get to have an avatar?

If you can post an avatage it should show this under that other section:


"Custom Avatar

If you have a custom avatar and want to keep it as it is, leave the fields below as they are.
Use Custom Avatar
You may upload a new custom image using the controls below. Either enter the URL to the image you wish to use, or use the upload control to upload an image directly from your own computer.
Enter Avatar URL:

Upload an Avatar From Your Computer:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 200.0 KB (whichever is smaller)."

So if you don't have that, then you probably need to be baggage level to show an avatar.

Phillygirl: It work now because I have posted in some threads.
I think it depends on if you have posted over five posts then you can get to pick an avatar.

There's a thread at the top of this page by Karri that explains avatars. I think it is 5 posts and you must be a member for 10 days, but check out that thread and it should answer your question.
