The light from the "windows" in Desmond's hatch

Did it strike anyone else weird that there appeared to be light coming through the windows down in Desmond's hatch?!? The hatch and lair seem to be pretty deep underground. Yet there were a few scenes with a window and what appeared to be light coming from them.

The really weird thing is it was pitch dark outside on the island...hmmmmmmm.

I think that it was artificial light behind blinds to give a feeling of windows. Makes one forget they are buried underground.

That does indeed seem like a good reason Wavenest. Something is still nagging me about that "light" though.....

I think the light is a high-intensity UV (ultraviolet) light. UV light is often used as a bacteriocide/virucide. It is use alot in research laboratories to kill any unwanted organisms.
