Did anyone actually see the Captain on the plane prelanding?
Odd that he alone survived 16 hrs to give flight history or misinformation?
Also if the monster is some kind of equiptment and he is one of 'the others"it could have been staged putting him up in the trees. It was very fast and they were scared so it was not about getting alot of detail.
Also some where I think The Old Lady said there were other islands around. Would not the Capt have had a birds eye view to see them from the cockpit. That would be useful info
Maybe the pilot wasnt really there, and thats why he got sucked out of the plane. Sorta like Shannon getting sucked into the sky in Boones hallucination, she wasnt really there either
I pretty much agree with that. It's the Forbidden Planet thing where the monster there was an expression of their id, the dark side of human nature.
Spoiler alert!
Spoiler:
I think the pilot appears in the season finale and according to the press reports, there'll be a little "mini-movie" on the DVD about what happens on the plane before it takes off and during the flight before all the rumbling starts. Cool, we'll get some more backstory on him
Greg Grunberg is cute, it would be nice to have him back.
