Walt, water, and the others

An idea about why Walt was so Wet in the season 2 premiere.

Maybe the Others and the Security System are foes of each other. Whoever is controlling the security system has maybe figured out that when things are really wet...the Others can be seen. What if the Others use a cloak to get around the island and large amounts of water somehow exposes them. I can see the Security system making it rain to expose them....

Maybe Walt figured out that being exposed to large amounts of water makes the Others visible for very short periods of time.

Just a far out idea!

There is definitely something strange with the rain on that island. Remember when Locke tells Boone that it will start raining in 1 minute - and then it does?? And when Charlie asks if it's normal for rain to start and stop at certain places so suddenly? It makes me think the rain is being manipulated.
