In the thread with the highdef images, there is a screen cap of the interior of the food pantry from this ep- and on each and every item is DI9FFTR731 - these could be logistics tracking numbers, delivery information or who knows what.. I didn't notice this when I watched the ep - but in the screen cap it's like.. wow.. more numbers..
since there's lots of number people here.. anyone have any idea what this could mean? I know this may sound crazy - but I have a strange feeling that it may be of significance..

These numbers were so small, I am surprised anyone could understand it. Therefore, I seriously doubt they are of signifigance. If any, it would be very little.

Wow, I just started visting Fuselage last week. I have learned that I am
1) unobservant
2) slow at analyzing little details
3) uneducated on a wide variety of subjects.

Maybe just reading this site will give me some smarts as well as entertain me.
As far as them being small goes - perhaps they were small - but they were on everything down there and they weren't the "standard" number set - so my guess is that DI9FFTR731 means something. It may well be a foreshadowing clue of sorts - but it's gotta be something.
The sites that Walt posted are interesting as a find for this series of letters/numbers - and I think things we see now are even more likely to have been researched by the writers than things from Season 1.

They definately must mean something or why would they be on there and placed on every single item. The writers know how this show is dissected. Who could have seen the numbers on the bottles Des injected himself with if you werent able to stop and pause that seen or see HD caps? Those numbers mean something. Why didnt they just use the regular numbers.
Maybe they though using the "regular numbers" (!) would be a little "too much", reducing their "weirdness" and "mysticality (can I say that?)"... so they used random numbers...
