Who thinks he'll be coming back? I personally really want him back because he was a very interesting character. I hate how they killed off Ethan, because I loved how intriguing he was. I know they did it because he would've provided too much information, but with Desmond he told them everything he knew in this episode, and it doesn't seem like he knows anything else too important. That's why I think he should make a reappearance at some point. He doesn't have anything to run from anymore since Jack and Locke have taken over the countdown shifts. I hope he noticed that nothing bad happened when the time was almost up, and that he will come back. Besides, I'm gonna miss that sexy Scottish accent. :swoon:
I hope they don't make him run into the security system. The monster will mess up his pretty face!
Jack should have pumped him for way more information.
I agree he should've asked for more information. But I don't think he would've had anything else to tell him. There may not be anything else left for him to reveal. I can see them taking him out of the picture due to the fact that his character has already "served his purpose" by giving the neccessary about of information.
Though I think Desmond and Jack's relationship is very interesting. Both their pasts and the way they react and talk to eachother. I'd look forward to seeing more interaction between the two of them.
And I also wanna know if "lift it up" meant anything deeper than "your ankle...gotta keep it elevated."
I think he will be missing for a while, but will turn back up later. For one thing, he said "see you in the next life" as he fled into the jungle. This made me think he would turn up again at a time when things are much different than they are now. Plus, what would be the point of the previous meeting at the stadium, if there wasnt going to be more of a relationship between them now? A pointless connection on Lost?
I think this is the perfect set-up to have him return in later episodes when everyone is least expecting it --- or to pop in as the hero who saves the day later down the road in an episode. They didn't have him die, they didn't have him leave the island... they just had him run into the island, and no one knows where he is.
Honestly, Jack's not the best at retrieving information. He never asks the questions he needs to ask!!!
And as Hurley said, "Your bedside manner sucks."
I think Jack just stopped giving a crap about Desmond after trying to question him early. You know the whole 'pushing the button saves the world'. I mean, if I heard that from him, I would think he's an idiot also, just like how he's being so frustrated with Locke right now because Locke believes in anything thrown at him.
