I thought it was okay, but it seemed to move slow. The Michael and Company story was good, albeit predictable. The peanut butter moment was kind of sappy, and how come Kate and Jack had spoons, but Claire has to eat PB with her fingers? The back story was once again all about stuff we already knew.
Good stuff included Sun and the message bottle and Bernard finally showing up. Oh, and the hatch at the other side of the island was the only "wow" moment.
I was really disappointed that the "big Jin spoiler" was a total fakeout. But it did make for interesting gossip for about a week.
Thanks again for the Poll, DangerDork. These are terrific.
Not bad but nothing special. It was good but I just wouldn't say it's my favorite. Though, I defiantly laughed out loud more for this episode then any other season 2 epi so far. I loved Sawyer's, "Pee on it" comment.
This was mostly an emotional episode. Kind of giving us a good cry, and giving us a bit of info but not exactly moving the main plot along. But thats ok, it had me crying so I guess it worked out. Sometimes an episode can just hold your emotions for the hour and its still fabulous.
This was kind of like the episode where we think and wonder what we would do in a situation like this.
Plus, Michael, Jin and Sawyer get to see that relatively they have been lucky. I wonder why the Others are gunning more for the tail section then it seems for the Lostaways.
is there another way to eat peanut butter that I don't know about?
Great episode, I voted above average. It was fun, and light, not as dark and deep as the previous eps of the season. I feel like stuff got done, people talked about what was going on and how weird it was.
And yeah...the flashback stuff was a little reptitive but I learned more stuff about Hurley, a girl he liked, his best buddy, the fun they had and how it all came to an end. Another thing to blame the numbers for....so I liked the flashback a lot actually.
But why did JIN of all people appear in hurley's dream? weird...
10: Perfect
9: Outstanding
8: Very Good
7: Good
6: Average, but not Bad
5: Average, but not Good
4: Bad
3: Very Bad
2: Horrendous
1: Watching this should replace the Death Penalty
I prefer the poll we used last season . Nothing against dangerdork's poll making skills I guess I just prefer the classics
I would rate Everybody Hates Hugo a 6. Average Lost is still better than anything else on television:
I LOVED how the girls kinda formed a little clique to figure out what to do with the Message Bottle, and I HATE what Sun did with it.
And although I LOVE Hugo, and this backstory worked much better at providing a backdrop for his Island dilemma, again this was pretty much a been-there-done-that story. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I loved the Rambina nickname!!!
That Claire went to Shannon with the bottle and not to someone like say Jack or Kate, yknow to let EVERYONE know what she found, I thought was strange and didn't fit well. What, she didn't even tell Charlie???
Everybody Hates Hugo was another redemption story, which I guess is the whole point of the series, but it's getting a little old.
I also thought it was a cheap shot to have bits of Hurley's DREAM in a preview. Just like after the jungle-paste-drug-trip where Boone saw Shannon get eaten and THAT was in the preview, viewers felt somewhat cheated at the end. I felt the same way after Hurley's dream sequence, even though I figured that's what it was because Jin would not be speaking perfect English in real life.
All in all? I agree with pengbear........MEH.........
