Do we actually know how Danielle got onto the Island? I think she may have been on the Black Rock.
If this is actually proved wrong by something in the show could you tell me the episode number?

In Solitary (episode 9, I believe) she tells a story about being on a research team. In Numbers (um... 17?) she tells Hurley more details

So did Danielle actually get to the Island on the Black Rock? I thought that the ship had been there for 100+ years and was a slaver carrier?

Yeah. Where is all the this boat wreckage at? Danielle's research vessel and Desmond's sailer. Some of it has bound to washed up somewhere.
