Kelvin...

Hey Guys,

first post here, hope im adhering to ettiquette, and that this hasnt been discussed before.

I was searching on IMDB for the actor who played "Bearded Man", or a member of the boat crew in Exodus last season and came across a gentleman named M.C. Gainey.
who is listed as playing him...however.

He is also listed as playing "Kelvin", Desmonds hold hatchmate, in next weeks episode, which could quite possibly create a huge plot twist.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0301370/

see for yourselves.

Re: Kelvin...

I hate to mix theories, but the in Kelvin scale of temperature 0 degrees is equal to absolute zero.

It may be a stretch, but perhaps this is where something will be what it actually is.

ManInBlack,

Your theory seems plausible and it has been speculated before several places in General Theories threads' below is one such place. However, there are others that I can't find at the moment where Todell, Kimber, et. al. describe the the name and derivation of Kelvin with detailed information on Thomsons (Kelvin's) work in areas of thermodynamics, submarine/underwater cable communications, etc. There are other threads where the same minds speculate as to where these apply to cryonics and cryogenics and supercooling as described within the context of Hanso and Dharma theories.

Technically, Kelvin scale does not require the word "degrees", it is simply Kelvin, and absolute zero, as you state is zero Kelvin, where molecular oscillations are at their slowest.

-Mang, an absolute zero.

Re: Kelvin...

Just a thought regarding Kelvin being absolute zero. If you take the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 and calculate the difference between each number in the sequence ( 4 8 seperated by 4, 8 15 seperated by 7 and so on) you get 4, 7, 1, 7, 19 and if you subtract backwards from right to left 19-7-1-7-1=0. Just a thought.

Re: Kelvin...

That is very interesting. I have a theory posted on the thread "Theory on what is really happening on Lost". I may have to re think it as time goes on. That is a cool find that you did. Thanks! Ginbun

Have we seen Kelvin? I thought he was only mentioned by Desmond as being the person who brought him to the hatch. If we have seen him in an earlier episode does anyone have a screen cap. Thanks........
