my wife watches the shows with me every week, but she doesnt get into the post-show analysis/research and she doesnt even like talking about all of the theories (poor me)..
anyway, she asked me this morning why they keep showing Walt with amniotic(sp?) fluid on him... and i thought that was interesting as some people have said the fluid does look a little to sticky to be just water?
You know, simplist; the bit about amniotic fluid just reminded me of another ghost move: Poltergiest. When they retrieve Carol Ann and the mom from the other side, they both come back covered in a similar goo. There was a great deal of birth imagery in the conclusion of that film: Carol Ann was reborn after being on the "other side" with the dead. Again, I don't think it's about the Others being ghosts, but rather that they are on the "other side" of something. Hmmmm.
Walt is alive but being kept in some sort of deprivation water tank because the others know he has special powers and they want to isolate them. This is why he is wet. He is using his powers to telepathically go to Shannon (because she has vincent) to warn her about things he know. His speech is backwards because supposedly when you communicate telepathically you are sending a mirror of yourself because you yourself cannot physically go. So his speech is backwards!
It is not really reverse speech. There should be something intelligible when he speaks and then a hidden message reversed, they are just playing what he says backwards so we hear gibberish. Maybe they intended to do reverse speech but didn't know how to do it?
Ok my mistake then, If you know for sure I admit I was wrong, I just went to reverspeech.com and I didn't get that idea. I was wrong, what are the odds? Lol
