To be honest, you may have a point there. If all the Others were people that in fact have been ubducted by the Hanso members it's possible to say the Others are just people who have been brainwashed - the kids and anyone else

I'm with you - it's getting pretty silly out there with some of these theories. It's obvious to me now that the entire crash is just a random accident caused by Hurley. Yep, I mean think about it. He's eating all that greasy fried chicken, probably with lots of baked beans on the side and cole slaw!! (that's cabbage you know) So he gets on the plane, releases an atomic fart that only he can muster and WHAMMO - blows the plane apart.

The smell from the fart wafts down onto the Island and is so smelly/devastating that it cause brain asphyixia for everyone in the Dharma project - thus, "The Incident". I mean, you can see what the smell has done to Rousseau!!

As the fumes settle, life begins anew with strange animal behavior and polar bears roaming the Island. The bears were on board the black rock being taken to a zoo when the ship crashed and they escaped. The Losties suddenly begin to hear voices that no one can make out. So they decide to go hunting. Suddenly the camera pans over and we see the leader of the Others. It's Tom Hanks screaming WILLLLLSSOOOONNNNN!!

Frankly, my vote for the true Other is the plane! Just think about it, the plane as sentient being! Wow!

Or, ooh,ooh, how about that tree? You know, the 2nd one on the left! Its actualy a shape-shifting Other!
