Henry Ian Cusick did a movie two years ago called, "The Gospel of John," where he played Jesus. Supposedly, he will be in a new movie called "The Gospel of Mark," where he plays Jesus, again. The Gospel of John movie is totally awesome, and is available on DVD for $29.99. It has the original version and the never-before-seen footage on it, plus behind-the-scene things and other bonuses. If you want to help boost Ian's career and support this Christian cause, please go towww.thegospelofjohn.com. You will not be disappointed.

Hi MerryMac! Unfortunately, Ian won't be reprising his role as Jesus in "The Gospel of Mark" (at least not anytime soon). It seems the company has gone bankrupt and the film has been called off. It's a pitty because I know Ian would have been fabulous in that one as well as The Gospel of John.
Yes, I really would like to see Ian in LOST as a recurring character. When I saw "The Gospel of John" movie, I was impressed with Ian's acting. I also thought we was WAY GOOD LOOKING!! But, since he was playing Jesus, I had to put the curb on that thought!! (Hee Hee Hee!!) But, since he is now playing Desmond on the show, I can say he is very, very attractive. I'm telling you the truth, Ian has it all.

I say it's ok to have a Jesus who is a babe...Ted Neeley was the original "hot" Jesus in 1973...though we didn't use that term at that time. It makes them even more loveable, I think. Makes them "real".
Ian nailed the compassion in GoJ...excuse the pun. His character was so charismatic and self-assured...I'd never seen Jesus portrayed that way. I was and still am totally blown away by his performance and the entire production.
As I've said before, this movie has not yet had its day.

It's truly a classic film, Mi. No doubt about that. Everything about it is top-notch!

Yes, I agree that Ted Neeley is hot. I have read numerous websites about Jesus Christ Superstar when it did its 20th anniversary tour, and a lot of women said that they were turned on by him when he did the movie, and that they felt they were committing a sin by feeling like that about him. But, you are right, it is not Jesus himself, but the actor that we are seeing.
GoJo still needs more pubilicity: firstly, because it is a great Christian-based movie, and secondly, HIC needs more international media play to further his career.

Personally, I am not at all attracted to Ted. And I've never been a fan of JCS ... I'm of the Godspell circle. I adore that film, play and score!
But I totally agree that the film needs more press and more press sure couldn't hurt Ian!
Yeah, I even had the soundtrack to Godspell, Jane. On RECORD ALBUM. (Oops, my age is showing again! )
Didn't like JCS much, either. Of course, you heard "I Don't Know How To Love Him" everywhere! And the dude who played Judas in the movie version could really rock. But Godspell's superior in every way--I'm in agreeance with you there!
