I think there will definatley be flashbacks of Rose and Bernard
just as Sun and Jin and Shannon and Boone and Michael and Walt.
They'll become major characters now i believe.
And future eppies could do the same
with other Losties that haven't shown themselves too much yet.
Other regular Losties killed/die.
Overlap with old and new characters and new flashbacks with newer evolving cast..
More eppies.

I doubt it. I think it's even possible that Rose and Bernard will never be seen or mentioned again this season, if not ever.
L Scott Caldwell (Rose) apparently doesn't enjoy TV acting and prefers theatre by far, which is why she only appeared so little episodes in Season 1, had a smaller role than you would expect in Season 2, and didn't appear in 'What Kate Did'. Sam Anderson (Bernard), on the other hand, would probably want to become a regular on the show.
I think they should have cast a different actress as Rose (Alfre Woodard, S Eptha Mekkerson) would want to be a regular on the show, because i would love it if Rose and Bernard could be main characters.
Also, no 'other losties' (Redshirts) from the fuselage group will ever become main characters if you ask me, it just raises to many continity issues, which is why Libby, Eko and Ana Lucia were introduced from the tail section. If they want to introduce new characters, they'll make them first class survivors, or tail section survivors who escaped from the others.

But i still think it'd b neat to see other people's stories gradually.
There are alot of other survivors that just can't b wiped out.
It's not that easy to b believable anyway.
It'd b totally kewl to see some of the other people's lives filter in and adding to the pot.

Actually saw my new avatar from another member and fell in love.
I like that Rose and Bernard doesn't have huge parts in the show. There are so many actors already. I don't think the writers are going to do much more with their parts. I think they will continue to be in episodes but only at the same pace that they are in now.
i definitely hope we get flashbacks of rose and bernard too.... why tease us like that?? also if L Scott Caldwell (Rose) wanted to be in the theater why would she audition for the role in the first place? i also hope we get to see what happens/happened to the kids that lost their family!
I am so glad that I found this thread I was just wondering the same thing myself this morning after I watched a few minutes of last nights epi. I just wonder what their back story is.
Also, you never know becasue Anna Lucia was just a back ground character until the 2nd season. So, that remains to be seen.
Also, why is L Scott Caldwell (Rose) on the show if she did not like TV. I think that if she did not like TV then she would be doing theater in NY, Chicago, LA, London or some other place. I mean there are a ton of venues for live theater all over the world that she could be doing instead of LOST. Also, why would the writer bring back Bernard if "Rose" was never supposed to be "something" in the script.
Just some thing to think about but good suggestions everyone.
