Locke working with the others

As much as part of me screams no, that makes no sense. Another part of me says...
He is perfectly happy on that island.
I do not think he was a prearranged plant.
I do think he has run across the others and this so called understanding he has for the island, has made them accept him.

Hmmm, I sure hope not! But then I guess I'm partial to Locke

But then again, maybe he was "infected" like Rousseau said would happen to people.
I kind of got the impression from Solitary that the infection was somehow connected with the Others. And he and Boone sure hung out with Ethan a lot out in the jungle.

Re: Locke working with the others

Not seeing it so much. Locke is content, and has kept things from the group before, but I don't think it's a plant. The other obviously know everything about the passengers (remember the list with names and clothes from the tailies). Now that everything is on the table though, it's hard to see where this is all going. I suspect a dramatic shift in the storyline since two of the biggest mysteries have been brought into the light.

As of right now, I'm thinking no. However, I feel that in the future, if the Others say the right things to Locke and appeal to his sense of faith in the island, he could go over to "The Other Side".

Re: Locke working with the others

I think he just accepts this island as his destiny.

They have been on the island for 50 days. Some tried to escape and failed. I think Locke accepts that this is their life and if they're going to share it with some seabillies, they may as well do it peacefully. I'm sure he doesn't want anyone killed in the process. Locke is as happy as can be, so he's not going to try and go commando on these people like Ana Lucia and like Jack is starting to do. Locke is walking on this island and is happy exploring and doing his own version of a "Walkabout." He might not want to leave for fear that he might become paralyzed once again.

Re: Locke working with the others

I don't think that Locke is working with the others because Zeke seemed to be pissed that they found and entered the hatch. Then again, Locke could be working with the others and zeke told locke not to enter the hatch but he did anyway.....

I have no idea where this show is going, the only thing that I would bet on is that Zeke has some sort of relationship to the Degroots; either he is Mr. Degroot himself or someone that worked for him and he went a little bonkers......

I noticed that Locke wanted to turn around and go back at the spot where Zeke told them there was a line there. Did Locke already know not to go any further?

Re: Locke working with the others

I wondered the same thing about Locke, he has spent so much time exploring the island alone and we know he has kept some of his findings secret in the past. (the hatch, the plane) He just always leaves me the impression he knows more than we are aware of. He embraces anything on the island as right and good and knows the other survivors see things differently, therefore he views them as a threat. No I wouldn't bet he is in with the others, however it wouldn't surprise me either.
