Were those "THE MARKS" on the shower?

When the scene opened with Jack in the shower (with Locke right there,) the front of the shower stall (upper right quadrant, as I recall) had some marks on it... and they looked like the telltale "three slashes" we have seen on a number of islanders from time to time... also looked like they might have been colored similar to blood. Anybody else see this?

Yeah, I saw them too. They looked like the could have been bloodstained fingerprints to me, which would suggest some sort of previous violence in the hatch.

With a lack of shaving cream, maybe Kate cut herself while shaving her legs. She pressed her hand against a surface to catch her balance.

Or someone was brutally injured / killed inside the shower.

You'd think they might want to clean that up. Oh, except Michael blew the bejesus out of that mondo jar of disinfectant while learning to shoot! D'oh!
