What if Henry is an other and said all that stuff about "if I was an other" outside of the gun room so that the "others" could hear what was going on and go after Ana-Lucia, Sayid, and Charlie.
There has been speculation on whether or not the "others" can see and hear what is going on inside the hatch because of what Zeke said in the woods to Jack, Sawyer, and Locke, Also, because of the whole computer coincidence with Michael (the orientation film just happen to be talking about not using the computer for anything else at the same time as Michael was communicating, and everything disappeared off of the screen when Jack walked in on Michael).
Maybe Henry was saying all that to communicate not just to Jack and Locke that he drew the map but also to the others.
Who knows, I could be very wrong. I just thought the whole thing was very strange. Even if Henry turns out to not be an other, he deserves to be smacked just for his little story. What a little snot!!!
This makes perfect sense. He did throw in a few descriptive clues as to where he sent them. And why would they have all these underground hidden hatches, all this technology, and NOT have some type of communication between them? Maybe it's like two-way monitor, and
Spoiler:
the previews for next week show what happens when they find and flip the switch and hear the sounds coming back from the other location.
Yeh I agree with this that if he is an other there MUST be some way of them communicating to Henry. I think these support the "whispers" that were said to be heard in the Hatch.

MThe thought has merit. It is possible for him to be setting them up somehow. And I agree 540, he needs to be a little smacked up again just for being a snot.
Another thought I had, which could fit into this theory, is that Henry is actually Calvin (or Kelvin), whom I think is an Other. He didn't seem all that surprised or amazed at the hatch. He just asked some obvious questions.
Wasn't it Sayid that didn't believe Henry's story, based on his inability to remember where he buried his wife? Then, Henry used that bit of information to emphatically tell Ana Lucia that he knows where the balloon is, because it's near where he buried his wife.
Seems to me Henry has his carefully formulated his story, and manipulates it to his advantage as he goes along.
Re: The Mounting Evidence that Henry is an Other . . .
I checked the transcript from 'One of Them', and Henry DID tell Sayid where he buried his wife. Sayid flipped out when Henry couldn't tell him how deep the grave was. . how many "shovelfulls of earth". . .
Re: The Mounting Evidence that Henry is an Other . . .
Okay, fantastic. It was nagging at me. It's still interesting though, that he brought up burying his wife to AL, while Sayid had to pull info.out of Henry re: his wife.
