Sun brought the test on the plane

It is apparent throughout the show, that all the charcters have a dark side. I believe that Sun had an affair with the bald guy and became pregnant with his baby. This was not a miracle birth. Sun was going to fall in love with the bald guy, until she discovered he was engaged to an American women. Moreover, because that relationship was not going to happen she met Jin and they married. Years later when her marriage with Jin were on the rocks. She somehow got in contact with the bald guy. Moreover, I believe there was another reason for her to meet the bald guy rather than only having english lessons. She discovered that the bald guys relationship with the American women fell apart. She was going through the same situation with Jin. They were kindered spirits, and Sun never lost her love for the bald guy. Therefore, I believe she was learning english because she wanted to run away with the bald guy to America. I believe that is the reason she picked America to run away. She was planning to meet the bald guy in America. It always bothered me why she didn't tell Jin she was learning english. I believe we do know the true reason now.Why not tell him, whats the big deal or the big complication.
I also believed that the pregancy test was actually hers all along. In the scene with Sawyer, she almost seemed positive she was going to find a pregency test. How was she so sure about this? Because she brought on the plane. Kate said it best when she said, "why would anyone bring a pregenancy test on the plane?" If you remember Sun was not suppose to be on the plane. However, she changed her mind and went with Jin. That I believe explains the pregency test. I also believe the title of this episode is deceptive. Jin wanted children desperately, why did she not want to tell him. I believe because it was not his child.
I believe it is obvious that she had an affair. Her look when she was hugging Jin said it all. She has lied in the past, many times. She didn't tell the whole group she knew englishuntil Kate got her. And she lied to Jin that she was taking lessons from her former lover. I believe she lies as good as Sawyer. This is my two cents. What do you think.

Re: Sun brought the test on the plane

Parts of all those thoughts were running through my head throughout the ep, but I really do think that she never did have sex with the bald guy.

Also, everything on the pregnancy test was written in English. I've never been to Korea, but I would think that it would have some Korean on it somewhere. I guess she could have purchased in Australia, but if she though she had a reason to purchase it then, she would have wanted to get it before now.

I am really curious as to why anyone would fly with a pregnancy test. It seems to me that that's something you would take before you flew, or would just wait and buy one when you get to where you're going.

Anyone notice that the pregnancy test was made by "Widmore Labs"? The sign on the power plant construction behind Charlie during his flashback read "Widmore Construction." Coincidence? No way.

My theory is that the pregnancy test was on the plane already and that no one specifically brought it...maybe the plane's intention was to bring supplies to the Island?

Re: Sun brought the test on the plane

You make a good point, however I think she may have gone to a sperm bank to get prego. She did say that she had never slept with anyone else. She was planning on leaving Jin, so does this mean that she brought the test with her and was planning on raising a child on her own in the US.

"Dad? Is that you? It's me Walt. You're not still on the island, are you? Those nice guys in the boat took me home? If you've been sitting at a computer, why haven't you returned my email? Dad?"

Oh look, there's my favorite leaf!

Sawyer: Shot??!! We don't even get a warning??
Pickett: Shocked. I said shocked.

Re: Sun brought the test on the plane

Since the pregnancy test was packaged in English, I wonder if another surviving woman brought the test on the plane.

such a good point about the writing on the box

Re: Sun brought the test on the plane

I thought by her smile and total happiness when Jin embraced the baby as a "miracle", she really didn't sleep with the bald guy--that she was genuinly happy about having Jin's baby. Had she smiled and looked guilty, then I would have to believe she cheated somehow. Know what I mean?

I had noticed that name on the pregnancy test's box, but had forgotten the connection, though I knew there was one. Thanks for reminding me.

Re: Sun brought the test on the plane

I'm not sure where the test came from, but one thing bothered me about her telling Jin.
I realize Jack told her to tell him the whole story what ever it may be. Ok, so she does. She tells him that he is infact the one who can not produce a child. WHY tell him that if she has slept with someone else? It was so much easier for Jin to beleive she managed to get pregnant. Just the fact that Jin now knows HE can't produce a baby leads him to question who the father is. If she hadn't said anything he never would have wondered. So why would she draw suspicion on her self like that?

Maybe the island needed a pregnancy test and brought the plane down!
