Sayid and Ana seem to be best buds already. I find something very wrong with that. I wouldn't have thought that Ana would go to Sayid for help. Go to anybody but him. Go with your Taily friends. Eko and Libby. That's what I would do. It seems like Sayid is already over Shannon.
Re: um, wasn't Shannon killed less than a week ago?
I'm mainly talking about Sayid and Ana's relationship. It seems to seen to me that they would go on a journey together.
I'm reffering to Sayid and Ana's relationship. It seems strange to me that they're already going on these journey's together. It's just to soon.

Re: um, wasn't Shannon killed less than a week ago?
I agree.....a week is much too soon to have greived and forgiven the woman responsible for the death of a loved one. But, this is TV, and Lost specifically, so I guess it's best to just suspend rational thinking
Re: um, wasn't Shannon killed less than a week ago?
I think Sayid realizes the circumstances of what happened and clearly is choosing to put the blame on the Others. It is always easier to blame and punish a stranger than the person you've come to know. He doesn't want to hate Ana, so he has to put his anger somewhere. That's why he's so crazy about wanting to find these people and make them pay. Ana pointed this out when she went to him. He wants to get at them as badly as Ana does (Eko and Libby do not). Eko considers himself a peaceful man now and he would never go out on the balloon hike if it might ultimately mean Henry's death. Sayid was the appropriate person to go to despite what happened between them. He's still fulll of the requisite rage.

Re: um, wasn't Shannon killed less than a week ago?
Shannon was killed only 7 days ago???
7 days ago, Sawyer was on the verge of death. If it were real life, Sawyer should still be in a coma ( or very sick) from blood poisoning and not able to move his arm. Instead, he was hiking up mountains after 2 days of being close to septic shock.
Because of unrealistic stuff like this, I now don't really pay attention to the time line anymore on lost. Having all the rerun breaks doesn't help either. It seems like so long ago since Shannon was shot.
Re: um, wasn't Shannon killed less than a week ago?
Given that Sayid got on the plane to go find the LOVE of his life (Nadia) in America, then crashes on a supposedly desserted island, starts courting and (very) quickly falls in love with Shannon, has a very short lived relationship before Shannon is murdered, and then seven days later is forgiving the woman that murdered the his SECOND love. It would seem to me that Sayid has a tendency of being able to move on very quickly. I wouldnt' be surprised if we see a Sayid and Ana L. love affair develop out of this.
The world gives us annoying people, so that we may learn more about ourselves.
Re: um, wasn't Shannon killed less than a week ago?
I agree that Sayid is the type of person that moves on quickly... I think his military past has taught him that, although he is the sentimental type, he has to put things behind him fast if he wants to function as a person. I think that being tied up, having time to think about it, and Ana giving him the go ahead to f*** her up, gave him some perspective on how remorseful she was and that it's the cause of Ana's fear (the Others) that is ultimately responsible for Shannon's death. Sayid is a surprisingly rational guy, although impulsive and sentimental at times. I think Ana is also the prime candidate for Sayid's next love interest in the sense that they share a very intimate relationship... kinda twisted I know, but the fact remains that Ana's connection with Shannon (the remorse) and Sayid's connection with Shannon (the grief) are going to draw them closer to one another. There are some very strong feelings on both ends here...
Re: um, wasn't Shannon killed less than a week ago?
that would just be too weird if they started something. I agree that they might be pulled closer together because of it and the circumstances, but just too weird. hmmm weird and this show...I suppose it could happen.
I too am of the philosophy that Sayid is very rational and doesn't act on emotion...therefore, he hasn't forgiven Anna as he doesn't blame her..he blames the others and has not forgiven them. Anna doesn't quite understand that yet...and it doesn't mean that he has to like her.

Let me just say this if Sayid and Ana have a love affair so quickly after Shannon's death I will be so mad. I agree with the stipulation that he is placing the blame of Shannon's death on the others. But the others didn't pull the trigger Ana did and this would be enough to turn me off this show. I liked Shannon.
