after maternity leave aired I started a thread on the idea that the facility claire, danielle, and kate explored was not the same facility that claire was in with ethan during her flashbacks.
after this week i'm certain of it - especially with the blast door map transcribed including "cadeceus station believe to have been abandoned due to AH/MDG incident of 1985"
near that writing there is also mention of mass amounts of water.
now im sure i'm not the only one but that station looked like it had definately been abandoned for 20 years and had some sort of issue with water in the past. i'm in construction and deal with water damage on a regular basis, and that place had some serious water damage. whether or not it was caused by the mentions catastrophic event or just simply from not being kept up im not sure. but i'll lean towards catastrophe!
I know the station looked like it was abandoned for years, but the baby's room was the same, the marks of the animals on the wall were there, just like they were on Claire's flashback, and the little blue boot Claire did for Aaron was there too.
I don't buy this theory. How could the blue sock that Claire knitted herself, and the Other's costumes be in the empty one?
If this theory were true, then the Others would have to leave Claire's baby hatch undressed, walk across the jungle in their nicely pressed khakis while carrying a blue sock, get dressed as bums in the empty hatch while dropping the blue sock, then go and terrorize the Losties. (I do give you props for thinking outside of the hatch though).

you're assuming that the costumes weren't just put there along with the sock to be stumbled upon. also the, writing on the wall - if you will, does say the staff was abandoned due to the ah/mdg incident or catastrophic cerebrus sytem malfunction... but according to whoever wrote it it WAS abandoned prior to the plane crash.

It looked like the exact same room but when they first went in and you saw the outlines of the animals on the walls, I thought that the walls seemed much more faded than they should have been. In the flashbacks they looked freshly painted, but when shown currently they didn't look as fresh. Is there a wierd time warp going on?
i thought the scribblings pointed to some sort of mutiny or changing of ways in the dharma initiative. i mean like the others just being the remnants of the dharma initiative or rogue employees. it seems that the dharma initiative isn't fully functioning anymore

I really think there is...When they showed a repeat from the first season, a couple weeks ago and I can't remember the name but I'm sure it was Kates episode, they were rushing into the ocean to get the luggage that was pulled in by the tide and they were saying the tide was coming in too fast, it was eroding the beach too fast it wasn't normal, and in a couple days the fuselage would be pulled out and covered by water.
So that to me seemed that somehow time was passing quickly. But, how I don't know...
I did think it was the same hatch, and if time passes quickly, then maybe that's why looked abandoned for so long?
