My guess is that the real Mrs. Henry Gale buried the real Mr. Henry Gale, and that the Others captured her and obtained Mr. Henry Gale's background info (mining company, from Minnesota, etc.) from her. That would explain why the Driver License was buried along with the body and why the Gale imposter drew the map. He didn't know the Driver License was in there.
Don't have a clue who buried him, but can't believe it was a partner--wife or not. As I recall the balloon basket was tiny--really tiny, could 2 people even fit in such cramped quarters?? Doesn't make sense it was 2 to me--seems like a solo flight around the world--kind of like Desmond's race around the world--only with a balloon!
Evening! My thoughts were that Mr. Eko buried the real Hanry Gale. I recall the little chat he had in the hatch with the fake Henry when he told him "I know you are lying" and told him the story of him being attacked and burying the man in the jungle after he killed him. Then he cut some hair off his chin and dropped in on the floor. It was a creepy scene that has stayed with me. This is my first post so be kind. LOL

Welcome to the 'Lage!
I suppose it's theoretically possible that Mr. Eko buried the real Henry Gale, but I seriously doubt he actually killed him (if that's what you're implying). Also, in his "confession" with the Gale impostor, Mr. Eko neither directly accused him of lying nor mentioned burying anyone.

Evening! And welcome! Though I am little skeptical, I believe your theory has merit. Eko is mysterious, period. It's hard to tell what he means when he speaks. Telling Locke about the film he found in the bible required a story that began, "Let me start at the beginning..." (which turned out to be millennia before Christ). I absolutely agree with you re: the scene of Eko with Henry. Quite a strange scene.
