Are you at all like Locke?

I kind of just asked my question, but I also wanted to tell you that Locke is one of my very favorite characters on the show. I wish I had somebody like him in my life. I also cried my eyes out at Locke's episode. It's one of the few fictional things that drove me to tears. You're an amazing actor, you really are, and I hope they show more Locke in the future.

That being said, I was wondering how much of a stretch it is for you to play Locke. In what ways are you like him? Also, are your wife and sons fans of the show?

Thanks for reading ;D

Re: Are you at all like Locke?

Well, bOOmstick,* * * *I look a lot like him..............but seriously, I think life's a lot easier for Locke than it is for most of us.* It's not such a stretch to play him because the writers do such a great job of making him clear to me.* A lot of what you like is their work.* Am I like him?* I don't know, really.* Often it's easier to know a character you're playing than it is to know yourself.* You create the character.............from a script......and you control, to a great extent, how complicated that character becomes..............but you yourself?...............that's a lot of info to digest.....and figure out.* Most of us are still working on it.* There's an old saying; "There are three bOOmsticks:* bOOmstick as he sees himself,* bOOmstick as others see him,* and the real bOOmstick."* * *So, looking at it that way, how many Lockes are there?
Interesting philotelevisionosophical discussion.

Cheers,* * * * * * * * * * Terry

Re: Are you at all like Locke?

That's true. I know a lot of people *act* a certain way, but that's only to please others, not because they feel that way. I guess it's because sometimes people are scared of not liking who they really are. Or something.

Thanks for writing me back. That made my day ;D
