What the "AH/MDG Incident of 1985" was

AH/MDG Incident of 1985

The above, as everyone knows, was seen on the blast door when it came down.

I believe I have figured it out, although I have no facts or evidence to support such claim.

Anyway, AH and MDG are initials - initials for Alvar Hanso and Magnus DeGroot ('Magnus' being another name referenced on the blast door). I believe the two are related. Although it says that Magnus' lastname is infact Hanso as well, I think they may of had a fallout - a feud in the company and family. Magnus adopted the name DeGroot and this is where we saw the origin of Dharma and "the others".

The incident does not refer to the event showcased in the Orientation video, we know this by the date at the end of the film, Copyright 1980.

Thoughts?

The names Magnus & DeGroot mean the same thing, The Great, allthough in the case of Magnus Hanso I'm firmly in the camp that the Magnus is a name rather than a title...

I see what you mean though, MDG as Magnus DeGroot would be the same as Magnus Hanso, they could be refering to the same person, though that would be a lmore than a ittle confusing...

Sorry if that does'nt make sense, it's late here in the U.K

Where the heck are people getting this DeGroot name?!?!

& surely if Magnus & DeGroot mean the same thing, surely the name would be 'The Great The Great'?
