I need help with a hatch question

I'm sorry to waste a post on this, really. I thought I knew a lot about LOST but now I think I'm losing it.

I seem to remember a scene in which the Hatch was barely uncovered and a light shot up out of it.
Not the light that slowly comes on when Locke is asking the island what to do.
This is a different scene where the light is REALLY bright and shoots up.
My wife, who just got done going through the series says I must be drunk because she doesn't remember seeing the scene, but I could swear I remember something like that.
Am I right or shoud I give Charlie back his statues ?

i remember Locke banging on the hatch, "what am i supposed to do...." then bang light shoots up into the sky... the other time is at the start of s2 when Kate is climbing down the hatch with the rope Locke's is holding...she says "i think there's something down here"...then bang light again, is this it ??

Yep at the end of Deus Ex Machina, after Locke gets back to the hatch after Boone fell. Locke bangs on it saying what am i supposed to do. Then the light in the hatch goes on. In series 2 when Kate is going down it shines up again.
But the hatch was pretty much escavated when the light came on in Deus Ex Machina

It WAS Season two I was thinking about. I just found the scene.
