If Walt is a conjurer...

This is just flat out absurd, but I find it somewhat amusing. If Walt has the ability to conjure things just by seeing them, then maybe their way off the island is for Kate to give Walt her little toy plane. If things go normally, a plane should happen along in no time.

Let's just hope it as a better landing.

Re: If Walt is a conjurer...

I don't think Walt necessarily conjures things. Danielle mentioned the "bears" and seemed to be familiar with them which means they were there before Walt. Besides, he wasn't even around when the first polar bear appeared, he just happened to be reading a comic book with a picture of one in it. I think his emotions are just somehow stronger than ours and maybe when he's angry he attracts things. I really don't think he just thinks stuff in his head and makes it happen.

Re: If Walt is a conjurer...

Well, I really was just trying to make a joke. But, I don't think it's fair to write off Walt's conjuring abilities.

OK, so I don't think we can say that he creates things out of whole cloth. You know, they aren't going to find a three-headed dog if Walt is reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. But, I think we have ample evidence that Walt can summon things that are already present in the local area. Birds, bears, double sixes, rain, non-rain, etc. Walt gets what he wants.

Except for Vincent, which is odd.

Anyway, I just wanted to defend Walt's abilities. There's no question that he has them. The only question is the extent of their power and purpose.
