Re: Everybody Hates Hugo - WARNING!! Contains spoilers. Only shown on E4 to date.
First one to post? I guess we were due a slow emotional one after the rollercoaster ride of the first 3 - it felt good to see a 'back to normal' storyline involving the guys outside the hatch!
and very interesting that they confirmed the existence of another hatch on the island - although it appeared to have been long abandoned (apart from the Tailies of course)
Re: Everybody Hates Hugo - WARNING!! Contains spoilers. Only shown on E4 to date.
Yeah it was good having a back to normal episode, wouldn't call it slow though. Hurley episodes tend to be quite funny too which was good and Claire got her peanut butter aswell....lol. The scene with Sun was quite sad though. I love episodes of LOST like this one where there are funny, sad and revealing moments all in episode.
Also... during Hurleys dream you can see Walt as a "missing persons" on the milk carton.
It was good to finally learn more about Ana Lucia, Mr Eko, Libby and Bernard and that something has happened to approx 18 of the other tailies. Oh and there being another hatch.
I wonder what this Dharma station was originally for, it looks deserted but we didnt see all of it.
Not sure if this is a spoiler or not so I'll spoiler text just incase... regarding the station...
Spoiler:
This station is called The Arrow (the symbol of this station is an arrow within the Dharma octagon) I wasn't sure if you see the symbol in this episode or not, I think you do - can anyone confirm this?
On a theory note.....
There are six constellations of Apollo (and we know there are more hatches)
1. Cygnus = swan
2. Sagitta = arrow
3. Corvus = crow
4. Crater = goblet
5. Ophiuchus = serpent handler
6. Orion = the hunter

Hello from across the lake, Brit LOST fans!
The closing scenes of "EHH" were among the most touching I've seen on the show. I especially liked how Rose tucked away an Apollo Bar for Bernard, who she knew wasn't dead, at the same time Bernard introduced himself to Mike, James, and Jin and asked about Rose. I was just !!
And, yes, the peanut butter scene was WAY sweet!
I'm so glad you folks are finally getting to see Season 2! I think it's that you can't see it at the same time we Yanks are!

Yeah - I believe its confirmed that all the 6 hatches are on the island - and I agree - some real tear jerking moments on there with the chocolate bar etc!
Although I enjoyed all the reveals in the first three, I always thought the beauty of Lost is the way it teases so much. I've just set my Dad off watching this series, and I was struggling to describe what a revelation finding the Tailies and Desmond was, We've been watching it for a whole series thinking there was just them and the Frenchie on the island - he thinks these things are par for the course!
I've just got back from holiday in the Canaries, and they're a bit ahead of us - had to tear myself away from the TV several times. I caught a bit of this episode, and a bit of the next one, so I'm looking forward to being (more or less) 'unspoiled' fairly soon!

STH. Thanks for dropping by the UK section
Brilliant scene between Mike and Bernard.
Watching this episode again (I'm spoiled), what I enjoyed so much was seeing Locke back in the jungle again. His scenes with Charlie are always fun for me to watch.
Not sure whether the Arrow symbol is in EHH, but I don't think that's spoiling anyone.

Ok..one of the most shocking moments in this episode... Jack and Kate actually laughing together at the end. Not exactly known for their cheery dispositions!

I didn't realise until Hurley or his fellow quitee from the the fast food place that his boss was the same guy that was taking the mick out of Locke in Walkabout. I wonder if Hurley knew that Randy was working for that company. If I was him and I found out I would have taken great pleasure in going up to Randy and saying I own you now dude!!!

Hurley didn't even know he owned a box company, or a trainer company until his accountant told him - so I don't think he kept a close eye on his investments Even though I know it's supposed to be the same guy, I just couldn't see the resemblance last night.

I thik those two scenes (Locke's and the Hurley one with the accountant) are a coule of years apart at least. Hurley seemed to be made-up to be very young in EHH.
