I thought we would find out more about Libby. All we found out that she is a widow and sold her husband's boat to Desmond. I want to know why she was in a mental institution. Think we will ever find out?
Maybe she was in the mental institution because she went into shock when her husband died? it could be a good twist- we suspect her and it turns out she is just a harmless woman who had a breakdown
She didn't seel the boat, she GAVe the boat away, at least that is how I understood it. Seems to me that is the actions of someone who is going down the path of mental problems (if she isn't already there)
I thought it was interesting that her husband's name was David. Could she have Walt-like powers and have been projecting Dave to Hurley both in the hospital and on the island? Of course, it's also possible that she was used by Widmore to get Desmond out to sea and permanently away from Penelope.
Yeah I think it would be interesting if Libby was some sort of widmore agent and she showed up in several flashbacks conviently helping people onto the island.
I don’t think it’s possible to get all they want to tell us about Libby from one flashback perspective. I think it’s going to take a few more at least.
Libby is a nickname for Elizabeth. I thought it always was and I had to look online to make sure. I think she was just wearing a wig to hide herself.
I feel as though Libby works for Penelope's dad and was told to give that boat to Desmond so he could do the sail. I don't think that Libby owns that boat at all.
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but I have a feeling that Penelope's dad works for Dharma or created Dharma.
I don't think there are any Dharma agents 'helping' people get to the island, the fact that the plane crash was a result of the button not being pushed in time indicates to me that there was no selection or plan for getting the losties on to the island, quite the opposite.
