So this is what I'm wondering...

I was watching ATBCHDI today at the part where Locke, Boone, Jack, and Kate are looking for Charlie and Claire. Jack and Kate follow one path (which, we find out, turns out to be the real place where Charlie was hanged). Boone and Locke, however, follow a path of footprints, which lead to the hatch. So my question is, who made the footprints? It couldn't have been Desmond, could it? He was in the hatch the whole time he was on the island, practically. Was it the Others, then? Maybe Danielle? But she didn't know about the hatch, did she? Hmmm... If anyone has any answers please let me know.

I saw that yesterday, and I think Kate mentioned it was a dummy trail set by Ethan.

Oh, okay. She did mention that but I wasn't sure if that was actually what it was, or if it was someone else, since at the time they had no idea how many other people were inhabiting the island.
