Question The Book BAD TWIN

A few of my friends and I have been reading BAD TWIN and some of them finished before me but I am almost done.Have you read BAD TWIN yet? If so I have a few questions for you....

How much of the book should be taken seriously and how much should be taken with a grain of salt and the writers just playing with our heads?

The author is said to be Gary Troup a passenger on the plane that our LOSTIE'S have crashed in, but the main character in his book is a guy named Paul who happens to get involved in many of the storylines and characters that LOST has. For instance Cindy the flight attendant, the Wildimore clan which I assume is related to Penny. Did Gary troup meet a guy who was like Paul who told him all this and Gary wrote alias's instead of real names to slam the Hanso Foundation and the Wildomores?

Will we ever meet Gary on the island?

Will Cindy ever be reunited with him? (I know you cant answer that one but it was worth a try )

Did you see the adds in USA today of the HANSO FOUNDATION trying to discredit the book? I thought it was genius who ever thought out as a promotional stunt to do that because that is why I bought it lol.

I have many more questions and since I am not finished with the book yet I am sure I will have more but if you cant answer any of my questions thats okay the main question(s) I want answered is if you read the book? and what you thought of the book in general?

Thanks for your time and keep up the good work.

P.S Thanks for being such a cool guy and hanging out with us even if you cant answer most of our questions lol

Re: The Book BAD TWIN

Yes, I did read "Bad Twin." (Actually, some of my notes were incorporated because the author was a little bit off concerning "Lost" mythology.)

My understanding, and I could always be wrong, is that Gary Troup was the guy sucked into the jet engine in the first episode. So unfortunately we will not being seeing him anymore, and I doubt that Cindy will be either.

I did see the Hanso ad, and I was amused by it, too. I thought the book was okay, nothing great but not horrible (like those Lost tie-in books -- those are just bad). If fans enjoy it, then I guess it's a success. I did like the stuff about the "Cindy" character since we know her and have spent time with her. But for the most part I would guess it's better to take it all with a grain of salt.

You think the guy in the pilot that was sucked into the engine was Gary? WOW I gotta watch the pilot again. lol.

I know you can't answer this but since you brought it up and said you did a lot of work on the "Cindy" character, is she really gone for good? So that means the people taken from the others don't return? Yeah on Second thought don't answer that b/c I already know the answer will be something like "No comment", "you will have to wait and see", or my favorite "hmmmmm inter sting, I am not going to tell you"

I read one of the lost tie in books and half of the second one that came out and they were just OK. I didn't hate them but they were nothing compared to the show.

The Hanso ad was smart marketing. I got the book because of it and I know someone else who did so I guess it worked.

The book Bad Twin was good for what it was. I think that is because I went in not expecting much as far as answers or quality compared to the show and it surprised me with some interesting tie ins to the show that even if they don't mean anything were fun to parallel to the show.

Thanks Gregg
