You probably already know what happened to our brand new server on Season premier night. So I won't reexplain that here.
But now I have a question out to all the Fuselagers. Is anyone on the board a lawyer, or know a good lawyer based out of Florida (preferably one who could do a little pro-bono work)? Due to the disconnection we have data on this disconnected server which we no longer have access. The data is our property and it is being held hostage by the data center over monies owed by a third party. Although we were very lucky to have not finished our migration and still have our pre move databases on hand, we did lose three days of posts on the Fuselage, and a bunch of back end programs we have written that we had fully moved over.
Since it doesn't appear our provider will be able to negotiate a deal to allow us to recover our business data we are thinking we may need to get some sort of court filing so that an injunction can be filed against the hardware owners prohibiting them from destroying any business data while the case is pending and hopefuly compelling them to provide access to the data (for a reasonable fee to recoop bandwith costs for the transfer).

we have quite a few lawyers on the Jater Couch, but I'm not sure where they are based ... I'll post your post over there and see if anyone can help out ...
I used to work for a MASSIVE lawfirm doing webdesign and webmastering for their site ( www.mckennalong.com). I know several lawyers there and they know a ton of lawyers all around the country, so I will ask them tomorrow.
Good luck with all this nonsense. I hope you get everything straightened out. Should I just ask them to message you on here or...?

If they are serious, and can help in any way, someone can either email or IM us using the AIM link on the front. We can exchange phone numbers if need be.
Just now hearing/reading about this. So so very sorry. You guys have put a lot a work into this and I hope you will continue to do so. I was wondering what was going on last night with the forum. If there's anything I can do just let me know, and if it's within my power I'll do whatever I can.
