The lock on Sawyers cage...

~~If this has already been pointed out, I'm sorry and please close~~

Ok, kind of odd. Not too sure if this was just a mistake, or if its going to come into play later.
But after Sawyer and Karl escape, Sawyer is running through the jungle. Bam, Juliet catches him and they drag him back to his cage.
If you watch when Tom locks him back in, he doesn't lock the lock. He OPENS it... You can see it open when it swings back and forth.
Now I cant get a screen shot of it to work for some reason, and Lost Media doesn't have the shot where you can see it. But from 24:30 to 24:33 you can see it just swing back and forth, right there in the open.
I'll keep trying to get a screen cap of it up.

Production mistake? Or is this how Sawyer escapes later?

There we go. Not sure how good it'll look, but its the best I can do.

I would think that Sawyer would pick up on that right away. Good catch!

Great catch!

Why oh why hasn't he noticed this?
Maybe he just likes to eat processed chunks of food in neat shapes?

Re: The lock on Sawyers cage...

He was so preoccupied with figuring out the complicated gizmo in the cage that he didn't even pay attention. Plus I am sure he didn't think they'd actually leave it unlocked. And even so, I doubt he find of getting shocked again if he DOES get out. It's very Pavlovian of them to leave it open. They've initialized the reenforcement of 'You come out, you get shocked'. It's reminiscent of one of those shocking dog collars. Hell, I'm amazed the don't have those...
