It's going to be a rough 2 weeks--how long has it been?

So how long has it been--this timeline. Ben told Kate is was going to be a rough 2 weeks for her. I can count 4 days, I think.

I think Henry or Juliet threatened and "broke" Kate, the way Sawyer was told they would implant a pacemaker into Kate if he told her what was done to him.

After watching scary Juliet tonight, I'm thinking that she is the evil wicked puppetmaster. She doesn't appear to have a conscience. Maybe she is controlling Kate, the one who roughed her up, at least mentally if not physically.

Just before Juliet asks Kate to put the bag on her head and help her, she is talking to Pickett. The first thing I heard Pickett say to her was, "I don't understand, it was supposed to be 2 weeks." And Juliet said, "Our schedule's been moved up."

I think the plan was just as Ben said, they were going to break Jack down and trick him into doing what they wanted and when Jack saw the X-ray everything was shot to sunshine. I still can't figure out what Kate and Sawyer had to do with the plan but whatever it was, it was happening early.

Regardless of whether you are a Sawyer fan or not - how many comments about Sawyer getting the "ever-livin" caca beat out of him, have there been??

I think her "rough 2 weeks" were to force her to make a choice between Jack and Sawyer. Ben asked her at the breakfast, "why do you say his name first"? I think seeing Sawyer constantly beaten - and he continues to get up and fight - have been a part of her choice.

However, in this episode - he had given up. He wouldn't fight because he knew they couldn't go anywhere.

What I want to know is - did she do this to give him "false hope". Maybe she thought he needed a little "encouragement" and because she still likes him, it was worth the while?

Yea, i definetly think that the two weeks have been shortened. The others thought they would be in control but Jack, Kate and Sawyer have shown that they can cause problems.. they've definetly changed their plans.

Ahhhh, good. Timeline moved up. How would Kate and Sawyer figure into manipulating Jack, unless Kate was told she had to sleep with/con Sawyer to save Jack. She didn't say she loved Sawyer (though she appeared to with her actions) and she appeared not to want to leave Jack.

Sawyer seems to be the dispensible one here, they beat him, scare the daylights out of him, nearly kill him.

Yeah, maybe Kate thinks sleeping with Sawyer gives him something to live and fight for. It will be interesting to see just who Kate is trying to con and who she is trying to save. Right now it could go either way. With Kate though, self-preservation seems to be her MO, so maybe she is trying to con both men to save herself...? Perhaps they showed Kate her file, the same way they showed Jack, and told her they could have the Feds on the island and he in custody as quick as a whistle if she didn't cooperate.

I think it's been four days or so. The first 3 episodes took place only one day after Season 2's finale...
