Danielle is rather nutty and doesn't always have the light of reason in her eyes. Kate may have felt like she had to be very explicit in order to get the point home. Giving her one piece of information at a time and waiting to see if it looks like it is sinking in.
At first I thought it might have been better if Kate's last line to Danielle had been something like "and she looks like you" (but not THAT cheezy) instead of coming right out and saying she thought Alex was her daughter.
But now I have to agree with sheba that the way to get through to Danielle is by being blunt, don't mince words.
she didn't annoy me at all. She rarely does though. It would have been better though if the conversation went something more like this. She looks 16, little pause
her name was Alex. Pan over to Danielle's face and then blackness. End of show.
That would have been more dramatic to me. Not that big of a deal though, I just can't wait to see what happens next.
Hopefully, because Danielle knows the island, this little trek will lead us to some new locations. Maybe to gain something they need, like some mode of transport, a boat or something. I also want there to be some encounters in the jungle anyway, i mean when she was in the finale episode of season 1, everything was so tense and exciting, and frightening. I just want another trek like that again.
my only problem with this whole senario is that Danielle said she had never seen the others, but she hears them whisper in season 1. then in Season 2 she catches Ben and all of sudden knows that he's one of them and that he will lie and now she is going to lead the Losties to the others camp??? If she knows where the others camp is then A. doesnt that mean she has seen them and B. Why hasnt she gone looking for her daughter before? not thats its a big deal but something just doesnt seem to fit.
You better listen my my sister's and brothers,
'cause if you do you can hear, There are voices still callin' from across the years. And they're cryin' across the ocean, And they're cryin' across the land, And they will until we all come to understand
