Anybody else get the sense that Sun doesn't really think too much of Hurley? In TTID, did you see the look that Sun gave him, when he was looking for volunteers to restart the van? Then there's that episode in season two where Sun was looking for her ring and Hurley's advice was to follow Vincent around until he took a crap. lol.
Still, at least Sun talks to the man, and is somewhat friendly with him. That's much more than he ever got from Kate, Shannon, Claire, Ana-Lucia and every other chick on the show except Libby of course.
I think that Kate and Hurley are friends. They both hung out a lot at Sawyer's tent. She always stuck up for him when ever Sawyer teased him. And when Libby died, she was the one comforting him at the funeral. Infact it was Kate and Hurley who dug the graves for Libby and AL. I think that Hurley used to avoid Kate because he was afraid of her for a while after he saw her mug shot. But over time they became friends.
I remember reading in another thread someplace that Korean viewers of Lost found Hurley to be a sad/interesting character, excessive obesity being a rarity in Korea.
Sun probably reacts to Hurley as any Korean female would.
Also, Hurley did hug Rousseau, so I guess they have a kind of bond as well.
Agree with you about the other women though. Shannon, Ana-Lucia and Claire (except in the pilot) pretty much ignore(d) Hugo.
It would actually be quite interesting if Sun and Hurley developed a friendship. Hurley probably needs someone to talk to on the island, and I think Sun would be a good choice.

They were awkward in the whole truth, although both seemed to be hiding something from the other.
I'd like to see the Sun/Locke friendship grow or more of. They seemed to be chatting before Kate/Sawyer came back to camp, and I liked there scene in And Found.
Hurley has a friendship with Kate, you can see it in alot of eps. Like in Exodus when Artz died, Kate caring for Hurley as a friend when Libby died.

Claire and Hurley were in one scene together in season 2. When Claire recruited Libby to help her regain her memory Hurley and Vincent were with her.
