I loved this episode. I was cheering when I saw that Carlton and Damon wrote it. I knew it would be one of those that answered some questions, but gave me new questions to ask. It was a plus that it was a Sayid flashback. It brings back the old feeling of Lost before we knew what the Others looked like. Next weeks' looks great too! Just 6 days, 22 hours and 30 mins. LOL
Loved seeing Sayid back in action - he is an amazing character! Love the interaction between he and Locke - much better than the interaction between Locke and Jack!! LOL!!
I can't say I'm a big fan of Sayid flashbacks, but this one worked nicely. I can't say that I fell in love with the episode, but it did give me something to think about and I think it set up what's to come next week very well. I'm actually excited, for the first time this season, to see what's coming next.
hnestly, 4 out of the 5 last episodes have just been amazing! I think the writers have really brought up their A game! great season 1 feel, answered questions! good flashback, loved kate and sayid together. liked the new guy too. except for Slowly killing my favorite character locke it was perfict!
I LOVED this episode.. It's Lost the way I remember it (and have really missed)... Sayid, Locke and Company running through the jungle, making their way through dangerous situations. As usual, Sayid's back-story was excellent. Bravo!
Having naive Locke turn into brain dead Locke was a little disconcerting, but I can live with that if we can keep getting good episodes that resemble the show we fell in love with.
I loved it! Now we know there really are two groups of Others, and one apparently has a history that includes the Adam and Eve mummies, the four-toed statue, and perhaps the slave ship as well. Send more food drops! (even though we killed all your Dharma people) Did they in fact take Michael and Walt off in the sub? Tom did say to Ben, "The sub is back." The cable went to the sonar beacon in the water. That is waaay more than just three major questions answered in one episode. Who's the guy in the Flame Hatch? We know that now also. He was the Hostile's guard for the communications array, their link to an outside world that they had no real interest in rejoining. Guess they were just curious. Curiosity killed the cat, eh?
Eta, the missing orchestral dramatism in the music score was back tonight...
