Light beer didn't exist (at least in the United States) until the late 70's/early 80's. Wikipedia indicates that Miller Lite came out in 1975, Coors Light in 1978, and Bud Lite in 1982. (And of course we all remember the Light Beer commercial wars of the mid-1980's.)
I would think that the presence of light beer in the bus suggests Roger Workman has not been there since the early 70's despite the early 70's model vehicle and 8 track tape.
How does all this fit in with the food drop in Season 2? When the hatch blast doors came down and Locke saw the Island plan in the IV light. Dharma supplies were 'apparently' dropped by parachute and we would have to assume that, unless there's an ancient stockpile of Dharma food and goodies somewhere, that has a long, long, shelf life, someone is flying in food that is up to date.
Both of you seem to be onto something, I think that all of these thinks from the past like kates horse didnt get to the island on their own, i think that someone is putting them there, maybe to mess with the losty's minds, or maybe there is another reason. All in time i think we will come to acknowledge that all these things that happen are hints or clues to what will happen in the end and will make the bigger picture more ledgable

Having watched Carnivŕle I wish for Nick Stahl to portray "Charlie Pace" at least in the flash-sideways! I ILANA "To kill a man is not to protect a doctrine, but it is to kill a man." - Sebastian Castellio (1515-1563)
