What do you think? Personally, I imagine this will go the same way as Sayid finding out that Locke was his secret attacker. Sun is angry now, but I don't think she will expose Sawyer and Charlies deed to the group and the matter will be forgotten. Bygones.
Or not?! Do you think theres a chance that Sun will attempt to use this information to blackmail or take revenge on Sawyer and/or Charlie?
I wish they would suffer the consequences, when I heard the rumors that Sun would find out, I thought, "oh my god, Charlie's screwed!". I was disappointed by her reaction.
I'm personally glad it's going to be over and done with now. I knew it had to come out eventually, but I think the honesty of Charlie's confession redeemed him, and that Sun giving Sawyer a good, hard slap to the face closed the book on that incident. Obviously they will be miffed at each other for a while, but let's not forget-- Sun is the woman who tried to poison her own husband for her own gain, so she's been just as bad. And much like in this case, Jack was willing to let it go without exposing her to everybody.
I want this to be over and I hope Jin never has to know. Charlie deserves to be able to move on from that very low period in his life and everybody already hates Sawyer and Sun got her slap in. Let's now move on. I'm just afraid that
Spoiler:
with the promo pics for next week showing a sad and distracted Sun and with Jin's episode coming a few weeks later, that he will find out and try and take his own revenge. I don't want Charlie to suffer any consequences from this since he felt such remorse and confessed all on his own. He should be forgiven.
If the disclosure of this information were likely to result in Jin exacting deadly revenge, wouldn't Desmond have intervened to stop Charlie setting this chain of events in motion?
I think the matter is resolved. It happened so long ago...and I think it's right that Sun found out because that was something she SHOULD know...but to bring it up again and use it as plot point with Jin searching for revenge would make no sense. I think it was one of those things that Sun had to find out eventually...but she'll keep it to herself because she knows nothing good will come of her telling Jin. It was a mistake that was made...it won't happen again...but it can't be 'fixed' really...so what's the point?
Sun already thinks that Jin killed Ja Lee. I don't think Sun will want her husband killing anymore men over her. But I can imagine things will be frosty between Sun and Charlie which might be noticed by Claire who spends a lot of time with both of them.
Considering Sun conspired with Kate and poisoned Michael I don't think she can afford to be too self-righteous towards Charlie and Sawyer.

This is one of themain reason that I think that the secret will remain between the three of them. Sun cares very deeply for Claire and Aaron. She is the Lostie who Claire turns to when she needs anything. Sun can see that Claire and Aaron are a family unit with Charlie. Sun knows that Charlie is a good person with a "family" that he is taking care of. If just Sawyer was involved I think that she would consider telling Jin, but implicating Charlie could break up the island's first family; Sun won't do that. She loves the other two members of the "family" too much.
I hope it is a settled thing myself, but I can see Big-Mouth Sawyer (I do love him though) spilling the beans on this issue. He might be at bit mad a Charlie for "ratting" him out and feel the need to get Charlie back. Even though the threat of Jin murdering him, might deter him. But Sawyer is the wild card here IMO, you never know what he's gonna do. If anyone is going to bring it up, it will be him.
