When Ben and Juliette approached the Flame, Ben tried radioing and then yelling to Mikhail, telling him not to shoot. Besides being the funniest line from Ben in a while, this got me to thinking: why would the Russian be so edgy? If the others had the island pretty much to themselves (there were no Losties at the time, and Danielle claims to have kept out of the Others' way), who might he mistake Ben for? Does this mean there are really two groups of Others? Is he afraid of Smokey? Are there Dharma leftovers on the island? Or is there a Danielle connection?
he's definitely on edge. However I don't think we can draw any conclusions from just last night's episode. I don't think they would be worried about Danielle, but the fact that there is someone else on the island that is not one of them is worry enough. I'm sure there were more people that ended up there just like Danielle. Beyond that I'm not really sure.

Smokey comes to mind.....especially If Smokey can take the shape of humans.
Old Mikey could very well be THE last memeber of the orignal DHARMA that went over to the "other" side (no pun intended ... but it is a pretty good one )
