the new segment seems to indicate that Jack IS working with Juliet, and whatever it is they're doing, Juliet seems to think Kate can be trusted with it.

Alaskannut, you need to spoilerfont your post. As I understand it, this thread is to discuss the ABC promo aired right after the show ended on Wednesday. All other promos are being discussed in the Spoiler Section's "Previews/AOL Clips, etc...." thread.

i tend to agree with flyer.
i think that Jack is trustworthy and i don't think he's been compromised by the Others. i think he will once again be heartbroken when Juliette betrays the "LOSTies." i think he's a very smart guy that was playing the Others just as much as they were playing him when he was with them the few days without Kate & Sawyer. he was playing football, but if he hadn't acted like he trusted/liked them, he wouldn't have been trusted.
and i also think that Locke and Ben might just be testing Sawyer. from what i've seen so far, Locke seems to trust Ben. and why/how would he kidnap Cooper and bring him back to the camp without Ben's permission? i'm assuming he left with the Others by choice, because he trusts them. he was manipulated by Ben to destroy the sub so that Jack & Juliette couldn't leave, he was manipulated by Ben while he was a prisoner in the hatch, why would he all the sudden turn on him? Locke has been one of my favorite characters through-out the show, but i think we just have to own up to the facts that (for now, at least) he has turned. i think it's just a big con/test/whatever for Sawyer. or to even get Sawyer alone to kill him?
I think their are several reasons why/how Locke would have brought Cooper to Sawyer instead of Ben. First off Ben may have "given" Cooper to Locke to gain Locke's trust, saying Locke could do whatever he wants to him. But Locke either can't bring himself to kill Cooper, or won't because then he won't be a "good person". But since Sawyer has already killed, maybe Locke thinks it doesn't matter if he kills Cooper. He could also have been sent there by Ben, who knows that Cooper is the real Sawyer, to pull some sort of con/test on Sawyer. Finally, Locke could have gained the Others' trust and then kidnapped Cooper, he is pretty sneaky.
However, as I'm writing this, it occurs to me that maybe the writers are making it too obvious that it's Cooper under the hood, and they want us all to think that so that we'll all be shocked when it really is Ben. Maybe Locke's decided to make a power move and take over leadership of the Others' from Ben. Maybe, but I still think it's Cooper under there, it's just too perfect.
